Aside from being a wedding minister, I also fulfill these callings when requested:
CHRISTENINGS: I love to do Christenings. There is nothing better than having a baby rule the day. All the festivities and preparations that go along with this holy occasion are amazing. The parents, grandparents, Godparents.and guests are filled with happiness and love for this little baby. All lovingly look forward to seeing the child grow up with a future filled with the Holy Spirit and a spiritual life. May God light the path of the journey of life for the little one.
VOW RENEWALS: So much fun! Couples love doing this in an intimate setting or an all-out huge bash, just like a wedding. You can do a Vow Renewal on your 6 month, 1 year, 5 year, 10 year, 25 year, 35 year, 50 years, or whenever you like. There are no rules about this, so, good reason to plan a party on your anniversary. Many couples were not able to have a big wedding. After some years the financial situation has improved and they have an opportunity to have the wedding of their dreams. I enjoy so much seeing the anniversary couple have their children with their spouses and grandchildren as their “bridal party,” What a memorable way to celebrate the anniversary. I marvel at how the husbands enjoy being involved with the planning and preparations for the wedding they never had. Awesome.
FUNERALS: I am humbled and honored when I received a call to perform a funeral. This person is putting their trust in me to be able to help a grieving family get through such a confusing and sad time. I try to ease the grief as best as I can. I lost my husband to Alzheimer's and cared for him myself until I no longer could. A few years later I lost my beautiful son unexpectedly. I genuinely understand.
MEMORIALS: When a person leaves this earthly realm, there are loved ones left behind. The memorial is an opportunity for families and friends to gather and remember the person who has passed away with positive stories and to help each other find closure, while continuing on as best as is possible.
